چکیده

One of the most important underground structures that today created around the world for the development of communication routes is tunnel. Due to the urgent need of the community for urban and inter-urban tunnels to reduce traffic or shorten routes, this structures can be made in vary different geotechnical conditions  and different depths. The destructive earthquake in recent years and caused serious damage to this structures, it has prompted to assess seismic evaluation of underground structures. Earthquake as an event with high uncertainty, makes it difficult to accurately predict the amount of damage that can be caused in structures. In this study, it is attempted to investigate the seismic vulnerability of underground structures, with considering the uncertainties in a possible earthquake. For this purpose, the Ahwaz metro twin tunnels have been considered as a case study and the seismic vulnerability of these tunnels has been investigated  by incremental dynamic analysis and the construction of fragility curves as a probabilistic method. After seismic evaluation of the studied tunnels, sensitivity analysis of parameters such as depth, in-situ stress ratio was carried out and the probability of damage at different levels  was investigated. The results of numerical modeling and probabilistic analysis showed that according to the site characteristics in a 8 to  15 meter of depths, the seismic vulnerability of the structures increases, which it can be referred to as critical depths. With considering different insitu stress ratio, it was found that by decreasing the insitu stress ratio, the structural vulnerability increases.
